Here's a glimpse of what you can expect when you visit:
Parking: We are so glad you are visiting! You can park in our lot, or if that is full, you can park in the Park n' Ride adjacent to our building; right on the corner of Cedar and Grove.
Walking up to the building: As you walk up to our building, you will be greeted by friendly greeters who will welcome you with a smile and hand you a weekly bulletin. Inside, there is always free coffee and tea available. On the 2nd Sunday of the month our espresso stand will be open for business from 9:30am to 9:55am, and again after service from 11:30am to noon. All proceeds go toward our missionaries.
Family Worship: We love to sing songs that glorify Jesus and we love to have our kids sing with us! We call this a family worship time and we begin right at 10 am. We love kids, so don't worry if your child is a bit fussy. Hopefully, they'll learn the songs and sing along too. We sing for about 20-25 minutes or so.
Breaktime: After our family worship time, we take a short break of 5ish minutes to greet one another and to allow parents time to check their kids into their classes. Grab some coffee and find someone new to say hello to!
Kid's Classes: After worship, Parents and kids will be dismissed to sign their kids to their classrooms. We currently have 4 classes staffed. 0-4 year olds meet downstairs at the end of the hall. Kindergarten-2nd grade meets upstairs at the end of the hall. 3rd-5th grade meets upstairs in the first classroom on the left. Middle/high school meets in the game room which is downstairs next to the kitchen.
Announcements: After breaktime (about 10:30 or so) one of our leaders will come up and invite people to find their seats again. They will give a few short announcements and then pray for the teaching.
Bible Study: The main part of our service is a 45-50 minute Bible study. Joel Belcher is the lead Pastor and systematically teaches through the Bible verse by verse, chapter by chapter, teaching through a whole Bible book at a time. Sometimes there are other men in the church who teach on a Sunday morning.
Don't run out just yet! After checking out your kids we would love for you to hang out for a while in the lobby where there's often snacks and food. Grab a bite to eat and strike up a conversation with someone. Our church is very friendly and welcoming and we love meeting new people, so we hope you feel welcome and accepted. We look forward to meeting you!
